  • CHILDHOOD DREAMS and the PURSUIT OF PASSION

From an early age, Antoinette loved nothing more than drawing, getting her hands mucky with paint and making things… It was therefore no surprise that she followed her passion to pursue a creative career… A full-time Foundation Course at the City & Guilds of London Art School marked the beginning of five fantastic years of creative exploration. It was the chance to try out a wide variety of disciplines and decide on a speciality. It was Graphic Design that won her heart and she went on to complete an HND in Graphic Design at Croydon College in 1992 and a graduated with a BA (Hons) in Graphic Design from Bath Spa University in 1994.

  • A QUARTER OF A CENTURY - A CAREER BY DESIGN

Straight out of Uni, Ant landed her first job as an in-house designer for Selfridges designing their seasonal campaigns/calendar events, window graphics, hand lettering and packaging.

Four years later she left to set up Antworks Limited and worked as a freelancer graphic designer in central London for nearly 10 years.

With a keen eye for detail and knowledge of both digital and print executions she has used her graphic designs, illustration and hand lettering skills for multiple projects over the years.

From 2007-2019 she worked at The Marketing Store as an Art Director and Creative Head working on McDonald’s Happy Meals and was responsible for the creation of in-restaurant experiences for families all over the world!

  • PROJECT EARTH and PRAYERS TO THE KILN GODS

Long days in the city does not a happy Ant make… and a twist of fate closed the door to agency life in the summer of 2019. Not long after, a new door opened at a clay workshop not far from home and this marked the beginning of an exciting new venture…

She spent the next few years exploring the potential of combining her graphic design skills with clay… learning all about hand building, carving and decorating in different ways, throwing on the wheel, making plaster moulds, slip casting in porcelain and messing around with some sexy glaze chemistry!

In December 2023 she did her first market event and the rest as they say is history…
